Survey: Thousands of parents seek help for back-to-school costs
More than 5,000 parents a week are looking for State help with the cost of going back to school.
According to a survey by mummypages.ie, more than half spend an average of €196 on uniforms and two thirds of parents still buy them through the school.
Up to 98% spend between €75 and €188 on school books and stationery.
