Survey claims technology has positive influence on 80% of relationships

Eight out 10 people say technology has positively influenced relationships with family, friends and colleagues.

The results come as part of Eircom's latest Household Sentiment Survey which also found that 86% of us now have access to the internet.

A thousand people were questioned as part of the bi-annual study which shows that a parent's temptation to overshare online is becoming increasingly frustrating to others.

It also found that children as young as ten are influencing household technology related purchases.
