A new study has found that almost half of all Irish students have skipped lectures to stay at home and watch 'Home and Away'.

A new study has found that almost half of all Irish students have skipped lectures to stay at home and watch 'Home and Away'.

The survey of 250 students was carried out by broadband and TV provider UPC at colleges across the country.

It also found that 95% of students are on Facebook with 45% admitting to spending between six and 10 hours a week on social media sites.
