The Department of Foreign Affairs has said it can no longer guarantee a turnaround time for the issuing of passports.

It is the latest development in the ongoing industrial action by lower to middle ranking civil servants over pay cuts.

The ten-day guarantee for receipt of applications submitted through the Passport Express service has also been suspended.
