Stabbing suspected as body found in Dublin house

A house in south Dublin, where a man's body was found yesterday evening, remains sealed off as the investigation into his death continues.

The victim, a 42-year-old man, was found with what is believed to be a knife wound to his back.

Residents of Marley Court South were shocked to see emergency services descend on their quiet cul-de-sac.

The victim's father has lived there for many years, but neighbours say he only returned to the area recently.

His body was found at the foot of the stairs and it is believed he was stabbed in the back.

Deputy state pathologist Dr Michael Curtis visited the scene last night ahead and the house remains sealed off today,
