The head of the Labour Relations Commission says agreement in principle has been secured from a significant number of groups involved in talks on the Croke Park 2 deal.
Kieran Mulvey would not say which groups have signalled they are close to agreement, but said that negotiations will continue this evening and tomorrow.
Mr Mulvey will report his progress to the Minister for Public Expenditure Brendan Howlin this evening.
He says the meetings of recent days have been constructive.
"I don't think it would be appropriate for me at this stage to anticipate what individual groups will do when they report to their executives," he said.
"But a considerable number of groups over the weekend up to last night have indicated … in principle that they are reasonably satisfied, those negotiators, with what has been achieved,
"But they have to go through a very detailed democratic process."
