Met Eireann has issued further weather warnings tonight.

Up to six centimetres of snow is expected to fall on high ground in parts of Donegal over the next 24 hours.

A snow and ice warning is also in place is also in place for Connacht, Longford, Westmeath, Cavan and Monaghan.

Meanwhile, gusts of up to 100 kilometres per hour will batter Atlantic coastal counties.
