Met Éireann has issued a snow and ice warning for tonight.

Up to 3 centimetres of snow are expected between midnight and 10am tomorrow morning.

Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal are all affected.

The forecasting body is warning of possible ice patches on roads as a result.

Tomorrow is expected to have outbreaks of sleet or snow and sunny intervals with scattered showers.

Fresh and gusty northerly winds will keep temperatures cool.
