Six-year tourism plan for Dublin announced

Plans have been launched to help boost the number of tourists visiting the capital.

Grow Dublin is a six-year plan which will pull together businesses, the council and tourism bosses to help increase visitor numbers.

The plan will also bring thousands of jobs to the city as well as boost the local economy by €2.bn.

Lord Mayor Oisin Quinn says the blueprint will help entice people to visit Dublin:

"We have a great story to tell: that Dublin is a great city - it's git great airport access, it's the capital city with the most parks in the EU, it's the capital city with the youngest population, it's also very diverse," said Lord Mayor Oisin Quinn.

"This is going to be appealing for people to visit."
