Six men remain in garda custody in Drogheda, following a three-car collision in Termonfeckin, Co Louth.

A man and woman were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital following the incident at around 6.40pm last night.

Their injuries are not believed to be serious.

Gardaí say the six men who were arrested were travelling in one car, which had been stolen on Monday.

A man travelling in a 4 by 4 was uninjured.

The six are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be held for up to 24 hours.
