Six arrested in organised crime crackdown

Gardaí have arrested six people in a crackdown against organised crime in Waterford.

Three men and three women, aged from their mid-20's to their mid-50's, were detained as part of an ongoing intelligence-led operation this morning.

They are being held at various Garda stations across Waterford.

Today's arrests follow searches that had been carried out earlier this month, in operations involving local Gardaí, their colleagues in the Criminal Assets Bureau, Organised Crime Unit, Air Support, Dog units, and other Regional Support teams.
