Sinn Féin's Ni Riada on verge of victory after third count

The results of the third count have been announced in Ireland South.

Nobody reached the quota of 131,500 but Sinn Fein's Liadh Ni Riada is just 660 votes short.

Jan Van De Ven has been eliminated, his 10,125 votes are now being distributed.

Ni Riada is expected to be elected in the next count.

Her party colleague Jonathan O' Brien is a TD for Cork North Central - he says Liadh will need 8% of Van De Ven's transfers to make it over the line.
