The Sinn Féin TD Padraig MacLochlainn finally agreed to his suspension from the Dáil after delaying business for 45 minutes.
Mr MacLochlainn was told to leave the chamber after refusing to stop raising comments by the Taoiseach yesterday to his party leader Gerry Adams.
Enda Kenny had suggested that the Sinn Féin leader might tell the truth about the tragedy and the remorse and about the compassion that should have been shown for Jean McConville.
The Donegal TD's refusal to leave led to two suspensions of business totalling 45 minutes.
But he finally gave in during the second suspension and left the chamber, avoiding the embarrassing procedure of Dáil ushers being forced to remove him.
