The Sinn Féin Social Protection spokesman is calling on the Government to re-instate the Christmas bonus payment.

The party is expected to put forward its pre-Budget submission on Monday.

Deputy Aengus O'Snodaigh said Sinn Féin had identified funding to reintroduce the Christmas bonus social-welfare payment by "tackling the wastage in public spending, eliminating tax loopholes and introducing new tax measures".
