Second woman quizzed in relation to Waterford death

A 38-year-old woman is still being detained this evening in connection with the death of a 60-year-old man in Waterford City on Monday night.

A 38-year-old woman is still being detained this evening in connection with the death of a 60-year-old man in Waterford City on Monday night.

Gardaí arrested the woman at noon today and can hold her for a number of hours for questioning.

She is the third person to be arrested in relation to the death of Joe O'Brien at Scotch Marsh.

Earlier today, 39-year-old Michelle Hynes of no fixed abode was charged with assault causing harm, while 47-year-old Pat Keating was charged with assault causing serious harm yesterday.

Both of the accused were remanded in custody to appear before the court again next week.
