The second day in the trial of an American musician accused of killing Wexford exchange student Nicola Furlong in Tokyo gets under way this morning.
Nineteen-year-old Richard Hinds has admitted strangling Ms Furlong but denies killing her intentionally.
The 21-year-old from Curracloe in Co. Wexford, was found unconscious in a hotel in the Japanese capital last May, and later died.
Yesterday it emerged that two drugs, previously implicated in date-rape cases, were contained in blood samples taken from Nicola Furlong.
Her parents and sister have travelled to Tokyo for the case which is expected to last a week.
Mr Hinds faces up to life imprisonment if convicted.
