A brother of dissident republican Alan Ryan and his co-accused are to stand trial at the Special Criminal Court later this year for IRA membership.

A brother of dissident republican Alan Ryan and his co-accused are to stand trial at the Special Criminal Court later this year for IRA membership.

Vincent Ryan (aged 22) and Darragh Evans (aged 23) are charged with membership of an unlawful organisation on September 13, 2012.

Both men were arrested following paramilitary activity at the funeral of Alan Ryan in early September last year.

The pair were also subsequently charged with firearms offensives as part of a garda investigation in to the murder of 30-year-old Michael Kelly, who was shot dead outside an apartment complex on Marsfield Avenue, in Clongriffin on September 15, 2011.
