Former RTÉ presenter, Brian Farrell, has died.

RTÉ's Brian Farrell dies aged 85

Former RTÉ presenter, Brian Farrell, has died.

The current affairs broadcaster, aged 85, is best known for his work on Frontline in the late 1970s, Today Tonight and Prime Time.

Outside of broadcasting Brian taught for many years in the Department of Politics in UCD and was a Emeritus Professor of Politics.

Mr Farrell is survived by his wife Marie-Thérèse, and his seven children.
