Some of Ireland's top earners are paying as little as 4% income tax.

New figures for 2008 from the Revenue Commissioners reveal that many of our highest paid workers are still using legal tax allowances to slash their bill to the lowest possible level.

Almost a quarter of those who earned between €250,000 and €500,000 in 2008 forked over less than 5% income tax as a result of the reliefs.
