Almost 15,000 smuggled cigarettes have been seized by Revenue officers in Limerick.

Almost 15,000 smuggled cigarettes have been seized by Revenue officers in Limerick.

Officers also found more than 18kgs of chewing tobacco when they searched a premises and an apartment in the city.

Revenue detector dog Eva was involved in the search.

A man from Pakistan and in his 30s was questioned and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
