Revenue officers at Dublin Port today seized 33.7kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €675,000.

The illegal drugs were discovered in an intelligence-led operation with the assistance of Revenue detector dog Meg.

They were in a consignment that was said to contain “dried goods” when it arrived in Dublin Port from Spain.

Investigations are ongoing.
