Two people have been injured in a car crash in Co Cork.

Two people injured in Co Cork car crash

Two people were hospitalised after a car crash in Co Cork this evening.

The single-car incident occurred at Paud's Cross, between Blarney and Model Village Road, Tower.

The car overturned onto its roof, and both driver and passenger were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

The gardaí were notified of the collision at 6.48pm and emergency services attended the scene.

The road was closed for approximately an hour but has since reopened.
