The Minister for Health has said that he remains confident a deal can be reached on an extension to the Croke Park agreement - with the good will of the unions.

James Reilly said that no one group of public sector workers have been targeted by the Government in the talks.

4,000 frontline workers including Gardaí and nurses attended a rally against any further pay cuts in the public sector earlier this week.

But Minister Reilly remains confident of a deal - despite the mounting opposition:
