Rabbitte plays down impact of sinkholes in Mayo
The Communications Minister has played down the significance of sinkholes on the coast of Co Mayo.
The Dáil was told this afternoon that drilling for the Corrib gas pipeline has led to sinkholes emerging at the coast.
However Pat Rabbitte said the "depressions" were very small and were to be expected under the environmental impact report for the gas pipeline.
