Rabbitte criticises commentators for double standards in Dáil homophobia debate

The communications minister has criticised some social commentators for having double standards when it comes to public debate.

Pat Rabbitte says some people who threaten legal action when criticised, are guilty of using similar tactics

He's told the Dáil he's considering watering down broadcasting laws so that broadcasters are only barred from causing "undue" offence to viewers.

And he's criticised people who contribute to public debate, but then threaten a court case when they are themselves attacked.
