The Education Minister Ruairi Quinn is promising further investigations into alleged welfare fraud on building sites.
A whistleblower has come forward saying some people awarded Department of Education contracts have sub-contracted them out and those companies in turn have hired builders who are ignoring basic contract terms and conditions as well as facilitating welfare fraud..
Quinn has said investigations so far haven't substantiated the claims.
"So far I've been told that the breaches that have been alleged, and which are now put on the record of the House, are not in fact happening," he said.
"But, I'm still not satisfied that there is not some substance to the concerns of the whistleblower in question."
