Public-sector union to discuss motion for industrial action ballot today

Lower-paid civil servants are holding their annual conference in Galway today.

It will be the first union to debate Croke Park 2 since it was rejected last week.

The 13,000 members of the Civil Public and Services Union overwhelmingly voted against the pay and pensions deal.

Among the motions being discussed is a call for a ballot of industrial action if the Government moves to diminish terms and conditions.
