Psychiatric nurses considering industrial action

The Psychiatric Nurses Association will ballot its members on industrial action this evening in response to understaffing and concerns for patient care at UCHG.

The group will gather in Galway tonight to consider the ongoing dispute at the hospital's 45 bed acute unit.

The PNA claim that over the past 18 months there have been repeated breaches of a staffing plan agreed with management.
