All three men who were being held in connection with the attempted murder of a police officer in east Belfast on Sunday have been released without charge.

Yesterday evening, two men aged 34 and 25, were released, while a 41-year-old man was let go late last night.

All three were arrested on Tuesday.

The PSNI has said the bomb which was found under the officer's car was intended to kill.

Dissident republicans are being blamed.
