A man has been arrested by the PSNI, after a man was shot in the foot in Cookstown this morning.

PSNI make arrest after man shot in foot

A man has been arrested by the PSNI, after a man was shot in the foot in Cookstown this morning.

A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment for a gunshot wound to the left foot.

It is not believed to be life threatening.

Police arrested a 57-year-old man at the scene and retrieved a firearm.
