PSNI investigating arson attack on convent in Tyrone

Police in Northern Ireland are investigating reports of an arson attack at a convent in Co Tyrone.

They received calls about a fire in the Cookstown area at about 7:10am on Saturday morning.

A shed was completely destroyed by the blaze, and two windows on the convent building were smashed.

The PSNI are treating it as a deliberate act, and have issued an appeal for information.
