An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire just outside Belfast that claimed the life of a 91-year-old man.

An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire just outside Belfast that claimed the life of a 91-year-old man.

He died following a blaze involving two oil tanks at a domestic garage at Thorndale in Carryduff just before 1am this morning.

Emergency services responded to the call and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

It took a number of hours to extinguish the fire.
