Power has been restored to two and a half thousand ESB customers in Connemara who had been left without electricity after lightening strike at a power station.
Ferry crossings, road conditions and phone lines have all been affected by adverse weather conditions across the country this afternoon.

In Glenamoy, County Mayo, up to 200 customers are experiencing phone outages, and services have been restored to 300 homes in Roscommon that were affected earlier.
The bad weather has forced Irish Ferries and Stena Line to cancel a number of their crossings this afternoon - and on the roads the AA is warning motorists to watch out for debris, slow down and take extreme care.
