Post mortem underway after Fassaugh Avenue death

A post mortem is underway in Dublin to try to establish the exact cause of death of a young man who was found seriously injured in Cabra.

The victim - who is 21 and from the area - was found outside a shop on Fassaugh Avenue this morning.

He died in hospital soon afterwards.

Two men aged in their 20s were arrested as part of the Garda investigation into his death.

Superintendent David Taylor from the Garda Press Office is appealing for anyone who passed the busy street this morning to come forward.

"As you're aware, Fassaugh Avenue is a very busy road that leads into the city and it would be busy at this hour of the morning with people heading into work, and people making deliveries (to the) convenience stores (on the) avenue," he said.
