Police chase ends in crash

A vehicle was chased against the flow of traffic through Belfast city centre by police this morning before it crashed into a roundabout.

A vehicle was chased against the flow of traffic through Belfast city centre by police this morning before it crashed into a roundabout.

The female driver was taken to hospital following the collision at a roundabout in the Rossmore area shortly after 5am.

It was seen by police driving the wrong way along Donegall Quay and was followed to the Ormeau Road. The chase ended when the driver hit the roundabout.

The driver was taken to hospital with body and neck injuries.
