A police search for an unexploded mortar bomb on the Glen Road in west Belfast is over.

Police call off search for 'unexploded mortar' in Belfast

A police search for an unexploded mortar bomb on the Glen Road in west Belfast is over.

The PSNI said there was no trace of any device or explosion, despite claims from dissident republican group Oglaigh na hEireann that it left the device there a week ago.

Local MP Paul Maskey said the vast majority of people in west Belfast were opposed to dissident republicans.
