The mother of Co Clare teenager Phoebe Prince has spoken publicly for the first time since her daughter's tragic death, saying there is a dead weight that permanently in her chest.
The young girl hanged herself in western Massachusetts in the US in January 2010 after a sustained campaign of bullying.
Two of six teenagers charged with involvement in her death have been sentenced to a year's probation and 100 hours of community service.
Today three others are scheduled to plead guilty to criminal harassment while a sixth student who is charged with statutory rape is due back in court in July.
Columnist with the Boston Globe Kevin Cullen said Phoebe's mother made an emotional victim impact statement to the court.
"She spoke how vibrant and caring and fun and kind Phoebe was…It was remarkable to hear," he said.
