A pedestrian has died in a road accident in Co Down.

A pedestrian has died in a road accident in Co Down.

A man aged 26 was arrested after the accident involving a vehicle on the Rowreagh Road near Kircubbin at 3am today.

The woman pedestrian was killed.

The Rowreagh Road is expected to remain closed for several hours.

Police appealed for anybody with information to contact them.
