PAC to hear from Garda whistleblower in private

The Dáil's Public Accounts Committee is proceeding with its investigation into penalty points.

The committee met in private earlier to discuss whether to continue with the investigation after the Justice Minister Alan Shatter last night referred the issue to the Garda Ombudsman Commission.

A Garda whistleblower will now give evidence to the committee on Thursday and the session will be held behind closed doors.
