Over one million Trócaire boxes will be delivered to homes and schools across the country this week.
The charity's Lenten campaign is Ireland's largest fundraiser and saw €8.5m donated last year.
This year's Trócaire box features 7-year-old Kumba from Sierra Leone, whose home was destroyed in a mudslide six months ago.
It is expected that the money collected this year will support over two million people.
Congratulations to 5N and their @trocaire 'Environmental Awareness Day'! Students learned about the importance of Trócaire and the services they provide for #parishes all over the world. This was part of #CatholicSchoolsWeek2018 🙌🏼💙 #clunykilliney #charity @DublinDiocese pic.twitter.com/IyEzwIx7Wd
