Some 261 patients were on trolleys in the country's hospitals today.

Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda is worst affected, with 31 people on trolleys.

In Dublin, 28 patients are awaiting beds at Tallaght hospital, while there are 25 people on trolleys in both Beaumont and Connolly Memorial hospital in Blanchardstown.
