One dies and four injured in Down crash

A 36-year-old man has died in a road crash in Co Down.

A 36-year-old man has died in a road crash in Co Down.

The two-car crash happened on the Ardglass Road in Downpatrick around 7pm yesterday.

A woman and three children, aged six, four and one, have been taken to hospital; the woman is believed to be in a serious condition.

The children suffered broken bones but their injuries are not life threatening.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the crash.
