Number of Indian students coming to Ireland sees dramatic rise

There has been a massive increase in the number of applications from Indian students who want to study in Ireland.

There has been a massive increase in the number of applications from Indian students who want to study in Ireland.

Enterprise Ireland expects more than 2,000 students from India over the next 18 months as part of its strategy to attract 5,000 over the next five years.

There has been a rise of 120% in student visa applications from India to date this year.

Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton revealed the news during this week's five-day trade and investment mission to India.
