Noonan announces '10 point tax plan' for SMEs; interrupted mid-sentence by FF's McGrath

Minister Michael Noonan is bringing forward a 10 point tax plan for Small and Medium Enterprises.

It will include:

- Reform of Corporation Tax relief for startups

- improve cash flow

- an R and D tax credit

Noonan added: "work is ongoing on the PlusOne initiative which will encourage employers to help those long-term unemployed."

Meanwhile, Minister Noonan is introducing a rebate on diesel from July 1, targeted at the haulage sector, to be fully policed to ensure tax compliance.

In an unprecedented move, Noonan was interrupted mid-speech by Fianna Fáil's Michael McGrath.

The FF finance spokesman said it was a 'disgrace' that copies of the budget were not distributed to the opposition.
