A jury in the trial of a former solicitor accused of deception have been discharged because of a legal issue.

A new jury is to be sworn in tomorrow and the trial is expected to begin on Friday before Judge Mary Ellen Ring at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Heather Perrin (60) of Lambay Court, Malahide, Dublin, pleaded not guilty to deceptively inducing Thomas Davis to bequeath half of his estate to Sybill and Adam Perrin at an address on Fairview Strand on January 1, 2009.

Ms Perrin operated a private practice at the time.
