A new GP led diabetes service is being offered to around 70,000 people across the country.

A new GP led diabetes service is being offered to around 70,000 people across the country.

Details of the Diabetes Cycle of Care service will be unveiled today.

Patients with type 2 diabetes can avail of regular check-ups from GPs under the scheme.

It is in a bid to reduce the levels of blindness and amputations amongst patients.

Doctors can already sign up to the scheme and it will be offered to patients from tomorrow.
