New accounts for IBRC mortgage-holders

Mortgage holders and borrowers with the former IBRC are to be issued with new accounts.

Residential mortgage customers whose direct debit payments were not processed last week, after the bank was liquidated, will receive details of their new accounts in the coming days.

The liquidator said outstanding payments would be processed through the new accounts in due course, with no additional cost, penalty or expense for the customers.

Customers have also been advised that their credit ratings will not be impacted as a result of the late processing of repayments due.
