NBRU compare Transdev to Thatcher's Britain

The National Bus and Rail Worker has Union has compared Transdev to Thatcher's Britain.

The union has made the comparison in response to the decision to hire in buses as a means of providing a reduced service for costumers this St Patrick's day.

The NBRU has written to the Minister for Transport to outline their concerns after the Luas operator announced the measure yesterday.

Transdev has said it is important to have a service running for visitors to the capital on our national holiday.

However the NBRU's Dermot O'Leary isn't impressed: “Transdev, which incidentally is a French company, it seems a bit strange to us that they would resort to what can only be described as Thatcherite methodology in terms of trying to break a strike.”
