A man in his 30s has died in a crash in Co Cork. Gardaí in the Cork city suburb of Ballincollig are investigating the fatal collision between a car and a motorcycle.

A man in his 30s has died in a crash in Co Cork. Gardaí in the Cork city suburb of Ballincollig are investigating the fatal collision between a car and a motorcycle.

The crash happened at about 1.45pm near Dripsey, on the R618 road.

A man in his 30s was fatally injured when his motorcycle was in collision with a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The two occupants of the car were uninjured.

This stretch of road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by garda forensic collision investigators and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact Ballincollig garda station on 021-4214680, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
