Motorcyclist dies after crashing into barrier in Galway
A 20-year-old motorcyclist has died after crashing into a traffic control barrier on a road in Co Galway last night.
The accident happened in Cooledemesne, near Gort, at around 10pm.
The young man, who is believed to be from the local area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was the third person to lost his life on Galway's roads yesterday following the deaths of two men in a car crash in Loughgeorge in the early hours of the morning.
